Itill Wiggins aka PeteyGoing to the jams up at Map's Pool did it for me. Break beats were everything. Records like Star Wars and Dance to the Drummer's Beat made me want to DJ and make beats.
Terrell JonesTraveling with the TIP 5 Basketball Team put me up close to the real struggles Black people deal with every day — including the HIV epidemic that's been taking lives and tearing through our community for years. When it hit my uncle, that changed everything for me. That's when I stepped up and started advocating for marginalized communities. That's the work I still do to this day. TIP 5 opened doors I never expected — especially when it comes to getting deep in the community and fighting for people's rights.
Russell Johnson aka Phut PhutIt was a brotherhood - the music and the early stages of the culture once called B-Boy, now known as Hip-Hop. If it weren't for DJ M$M "Morris" many of us would not be here today. Big up to the M$M crew: Kool Joe, Jr Bic, Ez Slim, Pooch, Kount, JGreen, Mc Hutch, Mc Lew,Tim Slick and god bless Ez Troy.
